Neurometer
The neurometer is a diagnostic tool for evaluating nerve damage which
provides information in CPT (Current Perception Threshold)
measurements. Each CPT measurement represents the minimal amount of
a painless, neuroselective electrical stimulus required to evoke a
sensation within established parameters. Three independent
measurements are obtained from each site. Abnormally low CPT
measurements indicate a hypersensitive nerve function (commonly associated
with inflammation or neuritis). Abnormally elevated CPT measurements
indicate a loss of nerve function.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is used in our clinic to strengthen damaged
muscles. We have a Physical Therapy Assistant
on staff whose primary focus is individual attention to help our
patients regain their muscle use and strength.
